To end our Coral Reef Unit we went to the Downtown Aquarium!! What a great time we had and it was wonderful to get to see what we had been learning about.
This is what I get when I ask them to smile for a picture now. Silly kiddos.
The Downtown Aquarium has many exhibits, we went to them all. But I am just going to show the Coral Reef highlights here.
Caleb's favorite were the Shore Exhibits. They were full of beach birds, colorful fish and round rays and reminded him of Sanibel Island.

Next we went deeper into the reef world. This was my favorite part. The beautiful colors, amazing animals and the parts of a reef I have never seen except in pictures.
One cool feature was where you could go underneath and look up at the waters of the Coral Reef. Caleb and Caroline spent a long time in here watching fish and looking at coral.

These pictures are just not enough to show how beautiful the reef was. The colors were so vibrant and I could not capture that through glass and dim lighting.
Here you have Caroline's favorite, sharks. There were three different types and she loved seeing them.
Wow, is really the best word I can use to describe what we saw. When we returned home we were beat, but happy. We watched IMAX Coral Reef Adventure and then Caleb asked to study Bears, Manatees and Dolphins. So I guess we are moving on. =)

Loved this post!
Such great family fun and a perfect way to end your unit.
Questions?:
Before you had Charlotte did you and Cale take your older two out or do anything special with them before she came?
