Train Unit

Our last unit for the summer was our Train Unit. This one we did specifically at Caleb's request. He had quite the bit of fun and it allowed me to do some review of phonics and math. I did not take many pictures since our summer is in high swing and we have been busy. But below are a few of the things we did.

We made a set of train cards. These are the first few we made, we have many more now. Caleb enjoys playing with these in the car while running errands.

Here is a freight train we made to do some math review. It's been running up and down our hall for a few weeks now.

Here is Caleb with his ABC animal train puzzle. Gotta love those Melissa and Doug floor puzzles.

We also did some train crafts, read LOTS of train books, watched a movie about all the different types of trains there are and, weather permitting, we'll go ride the Buckhorn train in Loveland this upcoming week.

It was a nice relaxing unit, a good way to end organized school and start our summer.
