One of the best parts of preschool homeschool for me has been that you set out to do one thing, like the Dandelion hunt, and God rewards you with so much more. For example, you would think from the previous posts that we had had quite the wonderful walk so far. And we really had, but then we also got to see these little darlings.
Their mama stayed right by them. She is very smart, cause Caleb was just itching to grab ahold of one and take it home.
This was my favorite part of the walk. A Bullfrog! I have never seen one before and it was quite exciting.
We picked more Dandelions on the way home. Normally we would not pick the flowers we find. I really believe it's best to leave them for others to enjoy. But, since it was Dandelions we were specifically after, I did not feel like anyone would mind.
Caleb has some very good eyes. He spotted this leaf that someone had been nibbling on. We think it was the "Very Hungry Caterpillar."
On our way home we saw one of the animals we had talked about earlier that loves to eat Dandelions, the Cottontail Rabbit.
He was busily nibbling away and and did not seem to mind if we stood there and watched him.
"This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24
