Flour, Phonics and Fun

To continue on with our Bird's Nest and Egg Unit we had a little phonics fun. Caleb loves anything messy. So we practiced writing and sounding out the word "egg" in flour.

Then we hid a bunch of our letter magnets in the flour and had to search for the correct letters to spell the word "egg."

Anytime we spell, write or sound out one word we must always do Caleb's name as well. When you are three this is apparently very important you know. So we searched for all the letters needed to spell"Caleb" correctly.

Any mama who is reading this and thinking, is that girl crazy, what a mess... do not despair. We have our very own 115 lb clean up machine. Otherwise known as, Bubba.

And here is a picture of the reason why we have so much flour fun. A picture of the reason why spelling the word "egg" is so exciting for me. And a picture of the reason why I am so proud to be a Mama. I mean seriously, is he cute or is he cute!
