Egg Hunt And A Little Math

Today was the day to wrap up our Bird's Nest and Egg Unit. The weekend is around the corner and I'll be out of town for a couple days, so it was time for wrapping it up.

What better way to end this unit and bridge into our next unit (Easter) than having an Egg Hunt. Plus, as I have mentioned in previous posts, Caleb loves scavenger hunts of any sort.

Next we counted all the eggs Caleb found. Then we counted each separate color Caleb found.

What to do with all that data? A graph of course. Caleb colored in the correct number of squares for each color. Then he used the graph to see which color of egg he found the most of and which color of egg he found the least of. And then we hung it proudly on the fridge for Daddy to see when he got home!
