Ice, Games, Family & Education All in One

JANUARY 29th

We ended our Snow Unit with "Melt An Ice Cube" game. It was a great way to teach what melts ice. Plus it was lots of fun!

Each player got an ice cube. You rolled the dice and depending on the number on the dice you had to do different things with your ice cube. For example, if you rolled a 1 you held your ice cube for 10 seconds.

Roll a 2 and you got the joy of dropping the ice cube down your shirt. I seemed to roll lots of twos.

Caleb is a crazy boy. He loved rolling twos.

Roll a 3 and you had to blow on your ice cube for 10 seconds.

Roll a 4 and you had to drop your ice cube.

Roll a 5 and you got to put 10 shakes of salt on your ice cube.

And finally, roll a 6 and you got to float your ice cube in a bowl of water for 10 seconds.
So, what helps ice to melt? Water, salt, breaking the ice up into smaller pieces and of course heat are not an ice cubes best friend.

Just another evening of fun at the Rogers' house!
