JANUARY 28th
We had some warmer weather today, but still lots of snow on the ground. So Caleb and I went outside to play while Caroline took her morning nap. We looked at all sorts of tracks in the snow; kitty tracks, Caleb tracks, tractor tracks, rake tracks and Buba tracks. What fun. We had a snowball fight and took some pictures for Caleb's nature journal. But the one thing Caleb really wanted to do was build a snowman. Unfortunately the snow we have right now is the light, fluffy, pretty kind. The kind that is so pretty as it floats through the air to the ground, but it's not much good for snow play.
So we did the next best thing. We made biscuit snowmen. You know, biscuits for the body, raisins for the eyes and buttons, and pretzels for the arms.
Then you pop them in the oven for 15 minutes and tada, biscuit snowmen ready to eat!
Yum! Good with jelly or honey. But be careful, those raisins get pretty hot.
