JULY 10th
This week saw us rowing Jesse Bear, What Will You Wear. This is the first book in the Jesse Bear series. Although this is the book that we did our activities from, Caleb actually loved What Time Is It Jesse Bear the most. It was a sad day when we had to return that book to the library. Caleb is like his mama with books, we love the library, but we want to keep them all.
We had quite the mixture of activities this week. Some of them included; a Jesse Bear paper doll that we dressed with clothes I cut from different pieces of material (patterns, textures, colors etc), the letter "B" craft activities, Jesse Bear's Healthy Lunch (learning about fruits and veggies), discussions about how families show love to each other and a few more. But the big hit was the Fruit and Veggie Toss.
Now you may be asking, what in the world is a fruit and veggie toss? I found plastic fruits and veggies at the Walmart and labeled two laundry baskets with "F" and "V." (thanks for the laundry baskets Grandma) Then Caleb tossed the fruit into its basket and the veggies into their basket. After he had down which were which we set a time limit. Evan even came over the next day and we had fruit and veggie relays. Who would of thought fruits and veggies could be so much fun!
